This app is an important site to obtain relevant, updated news stories on a 24/7 basis.

AP does good work. Easy to use and current.

Keeps me informed and updated… yes thank you for the pre fill. The app still struggles with crashes and loading images. I also get double push notifications, a bit of a annoyance at times.

Recent development and not sure if it is associated with a recent patch, but cant listen to iTunes and use this app simultaneously.

The constant flashing video ad at the bottom of the screen bothers my eyes. I try to cover it with my thumb but eventually give up. Its too distracting to even finish reading an article.

Borrowing a inappropriate word to describe a news event, AP is right there to report on a news event.

New version less useful: Cluttered, unfriendly, not as easy to customize. A waste of their efforts to produce. UPDATE: The latest version (April 2016) now hijacks the audio upon entering a text-only news story. Down to one star.

The latest news feature contains multiple versions of the same story and outdated updates. For example: its 7:30am EST on Fri morning and an update from 11 mins ago states Chicago Cubs pitcher is throwing a no-hitter thru 8 innings. That game ended last night! The US News feature includes just 10 stories from the US over the past few days. There is no other news being reported in the US since Weds?

When they alert my phone about a story I stopped trying to find it on the app (since it doesnt take you to the story) I just do a google search (its faster) Doubt they will fix this... Its been this way for YEARS

Overtime, the number of crashes has increased significantly, particularly at the time an article is loaded.

I have used this app for 4 years and had no complaint - content is always excellent in its neutrality, advertising was digestible, and very few crashes. Now with the video ads in the footer it pauses any music I have playing and promptly crashes. Trying to play again after loading makes it crash. Furthermore, sometimes loading the pictures also makes it crash. Repair the app, remove the ridiculously crashy video ads, and concentrate on content.
